Regenera Medical grew out of a question that followed Dr. Elroy Vojdani through his work in interventional radiology: what might have been possible if care had started earlier?
In the hospital, he cared for patients facing the advanced consequences of chronic disease. Interventional radiology offered precise, often urgently needed treatments. Yet the work also exposed a difficult pattern: much of the medical effort came after disease had already caused substantial damage.
Over time, Dr. Vojdani became disillusioned with a model that left so little room to investigate what had brought a patient to that point. He wanted more time to understand the progression of illness, explore contributing factors, and help patients take action before a crisis. His experience in hospital medicine became the impetus for a more proactive, preventive approach.
That search led him to functional medicine and a deeper focus on the relationships between immune function, inflammation, metabolism, and everyday health. He founded Regenera Medical to create space for the kind of care he had wanted to offer: thoughtful investigation, a fuller understanding of each patient’s story, and an ongoing partnership.
That philosophy continues to guide the practice. For patients already living with chronic illness, it means taking persistent symptoms seriously and looking carefully at what may be contributing to them. For those focused on prevention, it means discussing risk and building an individualized plan before health concerns become more limiting.
